Kusaki-ZOME(vegetable dyeing) is a very traditional dyeing technique of Japan. At our artist's studio, we hold a workshop on dyeing cloth using “Kusaki-ZOME ''. You will dye 2 kind of clothes. One is a mini canvas cotton bag and the other is a square cloth to make an art panel. You can take them both home.
The Kusaki-ZOME technique uses very natural ingredients, vegetables, tea, flowers, and fruit peels. Each cloth is completely different even if you dye with the same ingredients. It will be a heartfelt experience that Japanese enjoy the daily changes.
We welcome children to join the workshop too. We have a coffee break so that you can enjoy interacting with the other participants while waiting for the dyeing process .You can also enjoy the artist's studio itself.

About 9 minutes on foot from Musashi Koyama station on the Tokyu Meguro Line.
It's a little far from the station, so we will meet at the station if you take public transportation.

The ingredients you are dyeing clothes are different depending on the season.
■ Cancellation policy
No cancellation fee will be charged if canceled up to 3 days before the scheduled workshop date.
If you cancel within 2 days before workshop date, you will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.
